Why us
Why train with us near Exeter
Worth the run up the A30
Our North Tawton base is around 40 minutes from Exeter, straight out on the A30 or along the A377 and A3072 through Crediton. At the end of it is a DVSA-approved school rated 5.0★ on Google, with calm, patient instruction.
Quiet roads instead of city traffic
You learn on the quiet lanes and A-roads of mid Devon rather than in Exeter’s city-centre congestion. That is far less daunting when it is your first time on two wheels, and better riding practice once you are moving.
DVSA-approved instruction
Every course is delivered to the DVSA standard. Stan is a DVSA-qualified instructor with decades of teaching behind him. He is calm, patient and never in a rush, and all our other instructors are fully DVSA trained.
Rated 5.0★, beginners welcome
We are rated 5.0★ on Google and 100% recommended on Facebook. Nervous first-timers are especially welcome. Most riders arrive a little anxious and leave grinning.

What riders say
Trusted by riders near Exeter
“Recently completed my CBT alongside my 16 year old son. I chose to book in to gain my full bike license. Sally quickly found a date that suited me and today I passed my Mod 1, thanks to the expert tuition from Stan — 2 days relaxed yet professional training. Highly recommended!”
“The first thing I liked was this company communicates. I took Mod 1 & 2, passing both, training with both Stan and Chris — and I’d be the first to admit I’m not an easy student. No problem: these guys are so good. While completing the test was the objective, they made me a “rider” — fluid, confident and safe. Well done also to Sally, top admin. Thanks for some of the best days of my life.”
